The Pinzgauer is a noble breed that dates back to more than 4 000 years and bred as a dual breed out of middle and eastern Europe and more specific Austria's Alps. The breed has five star meat qualities.
The Pinzgauer breed was introduced to southern Africa during the turn of the 19th century which makes it one of the oldest imported breeds into southern Africa.
The breed is recognized as the breed with the healthiest and best meat quality in the USA as tested and confirmed by the USDA. The quality and unique hide patterns of the Pinzgauer makes it the safest animal to breed and farm with in the world.
The Pinzgauer is a medium framed cattle breed and bred for its meat quality in Southern Africa.
The Pinzgauer bulls dominated the annual Bull shows for the last 10 years as being the interbreed of the year more than 3 times.

The Droughtmaster was identified in the search with the assistance of Schalk Greyling from Studbook South Africa to find a perfect breed to crossbreed with the Pinzgauer. The Droughtmaster is a medium framed breed out of Australia's outback. The Droughtmaster has proved itself over the last ten years as one of the fastest growing breeds due to its low grass intake, exceptional calf ease and mother ability with exceptional growth at a consistent look and feel and a top fertility rate.
Ngupi Farm purchased some of the best genetics after recognizing the high demand for the breed and its above average growth in numbers.
